Day 6
7-24-25. Started out around 7 in the
RAIN with Kevin Qualmann. Less than an
hour of light rain ending with blue skies in Vanderhoof BC.
Mountain
views were OH WOW till we headed out of Jasper.
Still had mountains but the valley between got wider. Eventually we were in pine and aspen tree
lined highways.
Started the
day at 52° and dropped to 48° before ending at 74°
The fires of
Jasper NP started for us about 30km (18 mi) south of Jasper. Many acres were lost. The forest floor had new growth and not as heartbreaking
as I thought is was going to be. Maybe
because you could see the mountains through the burned trees.
